Global warming entailing a continuous increase of Earth’s average surface temperature is highly impacting the weather patterns and outcomes in various regions of the world considering its impact on the melting of glaciers and ice caps. The impacts of this global warming include the severity of the heat waves, droughts, floods, and hurricanes as well as an increase in temperatures noted to be at 1.22 degrees Celsius this year.

The report emphasizes that this has occurred over the past 200 years leading to a current temperature rise of 1.1°C above pre-industrial levels, which has led to more frequent and hazardous weather events currently faced.

Hence the report calls for the adoption of numerous ways that can limit or reduce global warming. Some of the ways this can be actualized are through the adoption of cleaner energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric power, mainly reducing the use of fossil fuels.

Exercising to reduce, reusing, and recycle will assist cater for the energy deployed in making more new products thereby decreasing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills, which produces methane, that’s a GHG.
