Davis & Shirtliff has partnered with Rotary District 9212 to implement water and energy projects in the country.
The collaboration aims to bolster the capacity of Rotarians in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects by delivering technical talks and ensuring project sustainability.

D&S will provide technical design support, deliver top-notch equipment, and offer after-sale support to ensure the projects’ long-term success.
As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), D&S will assess project proposals submitted by Rotary District 9212 to ascertain their suitability for collaboration. Moreover, it will identify water and energy projects for potential adoption by Rotary clubs in Kenya.
Davis & Shirtliff will assist in developing project budgets collaborate with Rotary District 9212 to customize solutions for various project needs, and participate in implementing projects in the identified areas.
Rotary District 9212 will identify community members for training in system operation post-project completion to guarantee sustainability.
Additionally, it will advocate for D&S-submitted projects among Rotary clubs, fostering opportunities for collaboration and funding. Davis & Shirtliff will contribute 50 percent of the total costs of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects.
“Many previously implemented projects have failed due to poor design and a lack of maintenance. This collaboration aims to ensure the sustainability of projects for the greater benefit and improvement of communities’ lives,” said the District Governor Rtn. Leonard Ithau.
Through its CSR initiative ‘Improving Lives,’ Davis and Shirtliff have successfully implemented 627 projects from its inception in 2018 to 2023, directly benefiting 1,258,677 people in Kenya. In the year 2023 alone, D&S executed a remarkable total of 90 projects under the ‘Improving Lives’ initiative, directly impacting and benefiting 209,000 individuals across 4 countries.
